Jonathan Dean

Jonathan is a Management Consultant specializing in Business Process Improvement and Agile Coaching with over 30 years experience in the IT industry. Originally a Software Engineer developing safety-critical avionic systems to the highest quality standards, he has practical experience at all levels across the full development lifecycle, and in a wide range of disciplines and market sectors.

As a business process improvement specialist, Jonathan has delivered CMMI appraisal and assessment services to a number of high-profile organizations and has presented at several UK and international conferences. He is also a certified CMMI Instructor. He has a particular interest in preparing client organizations for appraisals and working with them afterwards to develop and enact their process improvement plans.

Jonathan is a SAFe Certified Program Consultant, a Registered  Scrum@Scale Practitioner and an experienced agile coach and trainer and has been involved in many large and complex lean/agile transformations. He has considerable experience using and training people in these and other related frameworks, and is an Agnostic Agile signatory believing passionately in the pragmatic implementation of agile principles irrespective of specific frameworks.  He has worked with a number of high-profile clients including: Ford Credit, JATO Dynamics, Allianz, Swedbank, General Dynamics, UK Government, ATOS, Mastercard, Visa and the BBC.

He is also an experienced project manager having been responsible for the successful delivery of a number of high value projects, and is familiar with most popular PPM methods and frameworks including PRINCE 2, MSP, PMP.

Jonathan is a member of the British Computer Society, and is registered with the UK Engineering Council as a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered IT Professional.
